Autism Spectrum Disorder Endorsement Program Offered Fully Online

Posted by Byrne on 2017 March 25

Attention all educators, school psychologists, counselors, and other professionals: Marywood University now offers an online Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE) approved Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) Endorsement program that you may be interested in!

Marywood’s ASD Endorsement program provides all students with the skills necessary to meet the educational needs of students with ASD. This 12-credit program, which is approved by the PDE, can be completed in only 2 semesters. And to make this opportunity even more enticing, all classes are online, allowing professionals time to complete the coursework at their convenience. Coursework is supplemented by 80 hours of field experience that permit students to work directly with children with ASD. If you are a teacher or school administrator, you can even complete your field work within your own school district!

Two of the ASD Endorsement classes will be offered in Marywood University’s Summer 2017 Semester. The first class, SPED/PSY 590, will be offered in Summer I, and SPED/PSY 591 will be offered in Summer II. The remaining two courses will be offered during the Fall 2017 semester. The ASD Endorsement can be added to any Level I or II certificate.
