The University’s Global Unity Club is hosting a Women in Power throughout History: Women’s Liberation Gallery exhibit from Sunday, March 4, through Thursday, March 8, 2018. A sale of the artwork will take place on March 8, 2018, from 8-10 p.m., at the Kresge Gallery in the Shields Center of Visual Arts at Marywood University. The sale is free and open to the public.
Marywood students will have an opportunity to be part of the Women’s Liberation Gallery through multiple art forms including: digital, photography, written, painted, or sculpture to honor various respected women of power through history.
The Global Unity Club at the University promotes social diversity and educational interests of all students, especially international, study abroad, and minority students. The club strives to inform and promote an understanding of cultures around the world and within the United States itself. By working closely with the community at large, the club hopes to bring people of all walks of life closer together to create a sense of unity in our interdependent world. The main goal of the club is to provide a more visible and viable ethnic community and exchange. Membership is open to all Marywood University students.
