James M. Brown, was recently named director of marketing at the University. Mr. Brown is responsible for developing and implementing an integrated marketing and communications plan for the University; coordinating marketing initiatives with all departments to increase enrollment; and developing consistent, mission-focused communications between Marywood and its key constituents.

Prior to joining Marywood University, Mr. Brown was the marketing practice lead for GLP Partners, LLC, New York, N.Y., a strategic marketing and sales strategy consulting firm. He has more than 20 years of experience as a senior marketing executive, manager, and leader with national and global corporations, and he has taught at Pace University as an adjunct professor of marketing. During his distinguished career, Mr. Brown has served as vice president of marketing for Excellus BlueCross BlueShield, Erie Insurance Group, Cigna, MetLife, and Citibank.

Mr. Brown holds a master of business administration degree in marketing/management from the University of Connecticut, as well as a bachelor of business administration degree in marketing and an associate of applied science degree in accounting from Pace University.
