Alumni Weekend 2018 Recap

Over 350 alumni, friends, and family joined us to celebrate Alumni Weekend 2018, June 1-3 on Marywood’s campus!

  • The Class of 1968 celebrated their 50th Reunion and were inducted into the Sister M. Cuthbert Donovan, IHM Society. During the luncheon, they presented Sister Mary Persico, IHM, Ed.D. with a gift of $210,537 towards the Marywood University Class of 1968 Endowed Scholarship and the Marywood University Class of 1968 Amphitheatre Programmatic Endowment Fund!
  • Class years ending in 3 and 8 celebrated their milestone reunions, and all alumni reminisced about years past, and made new memories!
  • Marywood Alumni Board honored four deserving alumni with the annual awards:


Marywood Legacy Program:

  • Launching in Fall 2018, the Legacy Program will honor families who have a storied tradition with Marywood. A Legacy Family is a current student(s) who is a child or sibling of a Marywood alumnus/a.
  • For the kickoff event, a Legacy Family Breakfast was held during Family Weekend on September 22nd. Over 40 legacy alumni and students joined Sister Mary Persico IHM , Ed.D. for the event!
  • Stay tuned for Legacy Program events throughout the year!


Alumni Volunteer Opportunities

Donating your time to Marywood is mutually beneficial! Volunteering helps Marywood achieve its goals and better serve students, while also contributing your time and talents.

Alumni Association Board

The mission of the Marywood University Alumni Association is to unite all graduates into one organization for the purpose of fostering and facilitating fellowship and communication among present and former students, faculty, and staff members of Marywood. Other aims include:

  • Informing the Association's membership of achievements and activities of Marywood alumni, students, faculty, and staff;
  • Providing assistance and support to Marywood to identify and recruit outstanding students;
  • Enhancing the financial resources of Marywood;
  • Representing the interests of alumni in matters affecting Marywood.
