Keltie Ferris - painter, represented by Mitchell-Innes & Nash, NYC, featured on PBS Art: 21, and in Artforum and Art in America
The Art Department's Distinguished Visiting Artist Lecture Series presents a lecture by New York painter Keltie Ferris. This special event will take place in Media 160 in the Learning Resources Center and will be followed by a reception in the Shields Center for Visual Arts. The lecture and reception are free and open to the public.
Ms. Ferris is a painter of international reputation who is represented by Horton Gallery in New York City. She holds an MFA from the Yale School of Art, and has recently been the subject of two segments of the PBS program ART: 21. In addition, her work has been featured in Artforum, Art in America, The New York Times and New York Magazine, to name a few. Ms. Ferris will present images of her remarkable paintings, and talk about her working process and life as an artist.
Audience members will have an opportunity to meet the artist at the reception immediately following the lecture. This event is sponsored by Marywood's Cultural Affairs Committee.
