Originating in 2003, the Guild was formed to provide art faculty and students an opportunity to create and exchange limited edition prints made expressly for the collection. These works include traditional printmaking processes, photographs, and digital approaches. With a few recent exceptions the guild has produced portfolios annually and this year marks the resumption of activities. Also on view is a colophon for each artist that includes medium and process, technical information, and an artist’s statement.
In addition to the work of current art faculty and students, the 2013 Print Guild exhibit includes contributions from several recent Art Department graduates who are eligible to participate two years beyond graduation. This event is free and open to the public. September 9-20, 2013.
