Multiple Perspectives -- The Ceramic Sculptures of Anne Currier
October 10, 2010, Suraci Gallery
Anne Currier's dynamic ceramic sculptures are shaped by the interplay of masses and voids, inside and outside spaces. Projection and recession, light and shadow, substance, and impression are the subject matter of her work. This exhibition features a range of scale and approaches in her recent work, many pieces included in Anne Currier: Sculpture published in 2006 by Arnoldsche. She is professor of ceramic art in the School of Art & Design at New York State College of Ceramics at Alfred University and is the recipient of numerous awards, solo exhibitions, and commissions. Her work is found in many publications and public collections.
