DaSilva's work has been recognized and awarded on national and international levels. Her artwork incorporates elements of digital photography, painting, dance, and humanitarian and social justice issues.
John Meza, associate professor of art, praised DaSilva, when asked why he thinks her art is important.
"Vicki's ability to harmoniously integrate digital photography with elements of painting, graffiti, performance art, time-based art and installation art is fascinating," says Meza. "I also admire how she uses her work to take a proactive stance to raise awareness about contemporary social issues."
