News Item
Marywood's Department of Visual Arts is delighted to report that when four of our painting majors decided to apply to graduate school, they gained admission to the following MFA Painting programs:
- Pratt Institute
- Boston University
- School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston
- University of Cincinnati
- Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts (PAFA)
- University of New Hampshire
- The Burren School of Art, Ireland
- Studio Art Centers International, Italy
Since last May, have all made their final decisions and will be enrolling in the following full-time MFA Painting programs in the Fall of 2014:
- Alexandra Price - Pratt Institute, NYC
- Shane Davis - Boston University (w/ an excellent scholarship)
- Teal Porrini - University of Cincinnati (w/ a full scholarship)
- Jessica Marks - Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts, Philly
This is an unprecedented accomplishment at Marywood, as we in the field know how ruthlessly competitive this process has become. These students dedicated themselves and did the work to be competitive and successful at the national level.
