Professor McManus has been teaching as a tenure-track professor at Marywood University since 2013. She is a licensed architect, a member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA), National Council of Architectural Registrations Boards (NCARB), and was LEED Accredited Professional (AP) certified in 2011.  She serves as board member for the Northeastern Pennsylvania AIA Chapter and as the Intern Development Program (IDP) Coordinator for Marywood University.

Most recently Professor McManus co-authored a research paper published in the proceedings of the 30th National Conference on the Beginning Design Student: Materiality  Essence + Substance 2014 at the College of Architecture of the Illinois Institute of Technology. She was also selected to present research topics at Design Conferences in Chicago and Vancouver over the past year.

Among many other interests in architecture and education she studies the art and representation of Architecture, new methods of teaching architecture and structural principles, and using technology as a tool to enhance creative thinking in both the digital and physical realms.
