Nurse Aide Training Program

Demand for nurse aides and CNAs is expected to grow 20% by 2018.

Certified nursing assistants (CNA) are needed by hospitals, nursing homes, hospice care, home health agencies, and assisted living facilities.

Program Overview

Marywood's 120-hour program includes interactive classroom and laboratory instruction with hands-on training at state-approved clinical sites. Students who complete our nurse aide training program are eligible to take the American Red Cross Nurse Aide Competency Examination. Marywood's program is approved by the Pennsylvania Department of Education.

Day and evening classes are available:

  • Daytime classes run Monday-Friday, 8am-2:30pm, for 5 weeks
  • Evening classes run Monday-Thursday, 5-10pm, for 6 weeks

Cost

Marywood's nurse aide training program costs $2500. If you are currently employed by a nursing facility, your employer may be required to pay for your training. If you complete our nurse aide training program and later become employed by a nursing facility, you may be eligible for a reimbursement. Some government workforce investment programs may also cover this cost.
