Admissions: General Frequently Asked Questions

Who can live on campus?

Only undergradute students may live on campus. Affordable local housing is available for graduate students. For more information, contact Marywood's Office of Housing and Residence Life or check the Scranton Times newspaper.

What is the male/female ratio?

Approximately 70% female and 30% male. In other words, a "3 to 1" ratio.

How many students attend Marywood?

Approximately 2,300 undergraduate students and 1,200 graduate/doctoral students.

Is the campus safe?

Yes. The University provides its own safety force that patrols the campus 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

How big is the campus?
115 acres. And it's a national arboretum!
Where exactly is Marywood?

Marywood is located in Scranton, PA. The campus is 2 1/2 hours west of Manhattan (New York City) and 2 1/2 hours north of downtown Philadelphia.
