I wouldn't be where I am today without the opportunities Marywood afforded me.
In the past, I've reflected on my time at Marywood and realized that the ability to simply get involved and be creative was a crucial point in my life. I wouldn't be where I am today without the opportunities it afforded me to get involved and be myself.
Today, I am lucky enough to work in New York City as New York University's Social Media and Mobile Product Coordinator. It's a position I hardly envisioned being in after I took a few years to explore multiple opportunities ranging from sports journalism to government. When I eventually settled into the marketing, social media, and training career path I had determined it was the right choice.
Working in social media is a challenging field. It's always changing - always moving. It's not something one just "does" contrary to the belief of many ill-informed "experts". From building strategy, developing content standards and guides, to successfully delivering engaging campaigns that excite your audience, it's a field that offers a new challenge every day.
...and I love every minute of it.
