Religious Studies Sample Curriculum

For the major, 36 credit hours in religious studies are required (nine of these credits also help fulfill the University requirement of 64 credits in the core liberal arts and skills curriculum). With the advice and approval of the faculty, majors can pursue one of the following areas of concentration:

• For majors who intend to engage in some form of church ministry (such as director of religious education, teacher of religion, or youth minister)

• For those who want to concentrate their study in the Christian tradition Both concentrations prepare a student for graduate work.
