A 24-credit, low-residency Certificate in Sequential Art. Study with the best over one year through independent studies and two weeks on campus for two summers. The end result: a graphic novel.

Ann Nocenti writes Catwoman and Katana for DC Comics, and just finished a run on Green Arrow.  She wrote for Marvel Comics in the late 1980s, writing Daredevil, editing the X-Men, and creating Longshot, Typhoid, Spiral, Blackheart and more. 

James Romberger and his musician son Crosby collaborated on the multimedia comic book/flexidisc project “Post York” in 2013. A revised and expanded edition of the critically acclaimed Seven Miles A Second, Romberger’s graphic novel collaboration with Marguerite Van Cook and the late writer, artist and AIDS activist David Wojnarowicz was released in 2013. For DC/Vertigo Romberger collaborated with several writers onAaron and AhmedBronx Kill and Renegade

Mark Schultz is an American cartoonist, illustrator and writer. His award-winning works are Xenozoic Tales series and SubHumanThe Stuff of Life, a Graphic Guide  to Genetics and DNA. He has scripted or drawn many popular fiction icons and illustrated a collection of Robert E. Howard’s classic Conan stories. Currently, he writes Prince Valiant for the newspapers and works on his illustrated novella Storms at Sea.

Favorite Marywood moment: Spending the evening before finals in the Rotunda listening to friends sing and play music. Hearing the echo in the Rotunda and sharing that moment with my best friends was an experience I will always remember at Marywood.

Favorite place on campus: My favorite place is the Rotunda because it is the perfect spot to take a moment and relax. I also love admiring the artwork.

Favorite thing about being an Ambassador: I love seeing a prospective student’s face light up while on tour when they see something about campus that they are truly excited about.

Fun fact: I am obsessed with flowers.
