Nutrition



The Coordinated Program in Nutrition and Dietetics is a broad based educational curriculum that includes solid preparation in the liberal arts as well as courses in nutrition and dietetic theory and practice based on the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) foundation knowledge and skills, core competencies, and general area of emphasis. This educational framework provides the knowledge and skills for successful entry into today's job market and the flexibility to change careers and responsibilities and develop skills needed for future specializations as the job market continues to evolve.

The Coordinated Program (CP) combines the traditional four years of didactic study and a fifth year of supervised practice into a four-year program. Students who complete the CP earn a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics and are eligible to take the National Registration Examination for Dietitians after graduation.
