Description
The program is designed to provide the counselor-in-training with the personal and professional skills necessary for developing competencies in individual and group counseling, consultation, educational planning and career development. The program meets the certification requirements of the Pennsylvania Department of Education for Educational Specialist I. Because the programs is accredited by CACREP, training in this area is recognized throughout the United States (specific laws and regulations exist in each state, so students interested in moving to other locations should become familiar with regulations in states where they hope to work).
