Kerri Tobin, M.S.W., Ph.D.
Professor Kerri Tobin's personal research style exemplifies the interdisciplinary approach to research that makes Marywood's Ph.D. program unique. Her diverse research interests—which include poverty, education, and public health—stem from her experience as a teacher in underserved urban schools. Dr. Tobin has spent most of her professional career studying the impact of homelessness on academic achievement. Her recent book, Homelessness Comes to School, provides teachers with best practices for supporting homeless students.
