Brian Loughlin received his M.ARCH degree from Columbia University's Graduate School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation.  He joins us after serving for over 10 years as Chief Architect at the Jersey City Housing Authority, one of the most progressive public housing authorities in the country.  He has taught at both Columbia and at NJIT's School of Architecture, is a registered architect, and serves as Vice-Chairman of the Jersey City Board of Appeals.

Brian's primary research interests include the concepts and implications of density in urban areas and the use of smart micro-grid technologies across public housing sites.  He joins us as a tenure-track Associate Professor and will be heading our graduate post-professional degree program in Architecture.
