Dr. Joshua Dobias received his B.S. in both Psychology and Philosophy from Northern Michigan University.  He received his M.A. in Psychology with a focus on Visual Perception, as well as an M.S.T. in College Teaching from the University of New Hampshire.  Joshua received his Doctor of Philosophy in Visual Perception from the University of New Hampshire.  Before joining Marywood, Joshua was an Instructor in the Department of Psychology at Rutgers University where he was also a Postdoctoral Research Associate in the Laboratory of Vision Research/Center for Cognitive Science.

Joshua's research area of expertise is on visual perception, specifically the Venetian blind effect.  He has presented his research at various national and international conferences.  He joins us as an Assistant Professor in Psychology and Counseling Department.
