Dr. Leighton is a social psychologist with a doctoral degree from the University of Arkansas and a masters degree from the University of British Columbia. His research interests are in the areas of peace and social justice, particularly in the context of intergroup relations. Dr. Leighton has over four years teaching experience and particularly enjoys watching his students grow as scholars and individuals. Students of Dr. Leighton are routinely involved in his research and are often included as co-authors on presentations. He has published in the journal Political Psychology and has co-authored book chapters in the areas of peace psychology, and the psychology of resolving global conflict.
