Mr. Lawrence Walsh holds an M.S. in Criminal Justice from Saint Joseph's University, an M.S. in Management and a B.E. in Civil Engineering from Stevens Institute of Technology. He has been teachig at Marywood since 2007 and has previously taught at Saint Joseph's University.
From 1974 until his retirement in 1999, Mr. Walsh was a member of the conrail Police Department part of risk management at the consolidated Rail corporation. During that time, he rose through the ranks from patrolman to Chief Inspector. His assignments included patrol, investigations, administration, firearms instructor, supervisor, field commander, project manager, and Chief of Staff-Operations & Planning. He is a member of the Fraternal Order of Police, the Vidocq Society, the Southeast Pennsylvania Chiefs of Police Association, the American Society of Civil Engineers, and the American Institute of Steel Construction.
Mr. Walsh's interests include quantitative analysis, research methods, social problems, and structural design.
