Joseph McDonald

Capt. Joseph McDonald earned a B.S. in Aeronautical Science and a A.S. in Aviation Management from Embry-Riddle Aero University.  He began his flying career in 1976 and was hired by Pacific Southwest Airlines in 1981 as Boeing 727 flight engineer.  He was upgraded to Captain in 1988, typed rated on Boeing 737, McDonnell Douglas DC-9.  He has flown a BAE 146, Boeing 737-200, 300, 400, McDonnell Douglas DC-9, MD-80 and a numer of general aviation aircrafts, single engine,  multi and turboprop.

Capt. McDonald received his flight engineer certificate on a Turbojet Aircraft and has logged in 25,000 total hours flown and over 17,000 as Captain for the airlines.  He also has received ATP=Airline Transport Pilot certificate.  Other ratings he received have been certified flight instructor, airplaine, instrument, and multi-engine ground instructor.  Capt. McDonald began his teaching career at Marywood in 1999 and Assistant Aviation Director in 2011 and now Director/Assistant Professor 2012.
