Dr. O'Hora earned her bachelor's degree in 1998 through the coordinated program in Nutrition and Dietetics at Marywood University.  She also went on to earn a Master's degree in Sports Nutrition and Exercise Science in 2009 from Marywood University.  Most recently, she has earned a Doctorate in Health Science in 2014 from Nova Southeastern University.

Dr. O'Hora's research interests include examining behavioral and environmental determinates of excess weight gain, emphasizing on early adulthood obesity prevention.  She has examined the associations between weight management directed education programs for college freshman in prevention of weight gain throughout the first-year of college.  Her research interests also include nutrition and health education across the lifespan to improve and prevent obesity related co-morbidities.  Since graduating, she has worked in both clinical and corporate areas within the field of nutrition.  Also, she has worked as an adjunct faculty member at both Marywood University and the University of Scranton since 2009.  In addition, Dr. O'Hora is active in her local professional organizations; including the Northeast Pennsylvania Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, where she is currently serving as President-elect.  Her past positions with the organization include Professional Education Chair and Publication Chair.
