A Guide to Information Technology at Marywood

Administrative Experience

All students need to spend some portion of their time conducting the transactional business of their college experience, such as registering for classes, dropping and adding courses, applying for and paying for student loans, purchasing books, and so forth. Services can be mediated over networks to make these processes easier and avoid lengthy lines which historically characterized all too many campus experiences.

What information about admission and financial aid is available online, and can necessary forms be submitted electronically?

Our admissions and financial aid information is available online.

Is the college catalogue, including important campus policies, available on the Web?

Yes, both the Undergraduate and Graduate catalogues are available on-line. Our Student Handbook which contains important campus policies is also available online.

Can a student access her personal student information/data online?

Yes, Marywood provides access to this information through its Student Information System

Can a student find out his grades online or by phone at the end of a semester?

Yes, Marywood provides access to this information through its Student Information System. Telephone access is not available at this time.

Is registration, including dropping and adding courses, processed electronically?

Yes, students enrolled in degree and certification programs can register online, including adding and dropping courses, including adding and dropping courses.

Can students pay bills, receive loans, make campus bookstore purchases using online procedures?

Students may make payments on their student account through the Student Information System. Loan and Bookstore services are not available online at this time.

What campus and community services are covered by "smart cards" or "debit cards"?

Food services, the University library and building access are covered by student ID smart cards. A separate smart card is used for copy machines and printers.

What student information does the campus provide routinely to parents?

Our Web Site currently provides parents with general information of interest to them. Individual student information is distributed following Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act, (FERPA) guidelines.
