Description of Duties:

The Adult Day Program provides services to individuals over the age of 21 who have intellectual disabilities.  The goal of ADP is to further skills and socialization in a stimulating setting that is able to meet personal needs for growth and development.  The Adams Avenue Program is for the more medically fragile adults who live on the main campus.  This position is designed to provide individual attention to several clients for 30 minute periods.  The duties may include: transporting from the residence, taking people for short walks, reading stories, craft activities, staff assisted aquatic therapy programs or other activities focused on the individual client.  Regulations require completion of certain clearance, annual physical and bi-annual Mantoux.  Arrangements can be made for this to be completed at no cost to the student.
