Clinical Assistant Professor

Summary of Duties

Marywood University invites applications for the position of Clinical Assistant Professor of the Physician Assistant (PA) Program, which offers a Master of Science in PA Studies. This is a full-time, 12-month ranked appointment.   The Position begins May 21st, 2018.

The Clinical Assistant Professor will be a principal faculty member in the Physician Assistant program. The role will primarily involve teaching responsibilities in the areas of expertise, preferable in basic sciences such as Anatomy and Physiology.  In collaboration with the Program Director and Academic Director, he/she will be involved with the ongoing assessment, evaluation, and development of the didactic phase of the PA program. Additional responsibilities may include faculty recruitment, evaluation and correspondence, curriculum development, scheduling, text selection, grade preparations, student evaluation and advising. 

 



Requirements

  • Educational:

    Required qualifications include: Master’s Degree in health-related field and a minimum of 3 years of clinical, teaching, or scholarship/research experience.

    Preferred qualifications include:  PA program teaching or precepting experience; strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills; knowledge of ARC-PA Standards related to PA education; strong organizational and computer skills.
