Religious Studies - Assistant Professor - Tenure Track

Summary of Duties

The Marywood University Department of Religious Studies invites applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor to begin August 2017.

Responsibilities include teaching undergraduate core curriculum courses and undergraduate courses in the major. Student advisement, commitment to scholarly activities, and participation in university, professional, and community service are expected.  A full-time teaching load is 21 credits per academic year.

Requirements

  • Educational:

    A Ph.D. in Religious Studies or Theology with a specialization in Catholic Social Ethics is required.  Candidates who are ABD will be considered with the understanding that they will have the Ph.D. by August 2018.  

  • Work Experience Requirements:

    A secondary area of specialization in non-Christian traditions.  Prior college teaching experience.  Online teaching experience.
