Summary of Duties
Serve as billing secretary for the Speech Language Hearing Clinic in the Department of Communication Sciences & Disorders. Bill clients, prepare and monitor third party insurance claims/medicare, collect payments including third party billing, accounts receivable, generate financial reports, track gratis services. Provide support for the chairperson, Graduate Program Director, Clinic Director, and Internship Coordinator. Activities will include assisting with the day-to-day operations of the department and clinic, coordination of community based outreach services and off campus internship placements, and in the development/gathering of documentation that supports the continuation of CAA/ASHA accreditation status. Other clerical duties as assigned.
High School Diploma, minimum three years office experience.
Strong oral and written communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, proficiency with computers including word processing and Microsoft Word.
Walking to various departments on campus.
