Summary of Duties
Organization and function of office; answering telephone inquiries; filing and maintaining all department records; printing/copying; communications with faculty, lab manager, students and public; course scheduling; completion of reports; department web page updates; works closely with fiscal affairs for purchasing and budget tracking; student enrollment management; recording and disseminating department meeting minutes, and the management of graduate licensure exam and employment data. Reports to the Nursing Department Director.
Associates Degree or equivalent in business or related field and minimum 2 years recent experience as an office secretary. Excellent oral and written communication skills, strong interpersonal and organizational abilities, expertise in all Microsoft Office applications, web page design experience, and online data system management experience desired. Competence with technology resources is vital to fulfill the responsibilities of this position.
Energetic self-starter with attention to detail and excellent follow-through. Ability to manage concurrent tasks using effective time management skills. Enjoys working with college students and faculty.
