Help

The Marywood Directory offers several ways to find the person you are looking for.

Typing 'amy' will display to you all 10 of Marywood's Amys (as of this writing). In general, just start typing, and it should immediately narrow down to whomever you are looking for. Backspacing will undo this tightening. Typing 'amy' will display to you all 8 of Marywood's Amys (as of this writing). If you are not finding what you think you should, try backing up and trying something else - 'tony' will not show you all of Marywood's Tonys, try anthony for that!

Rolodex Behaviour : One letter means Last Name

When there is only one letter to search on (from the menu across the top, or within the Find box) the system assumes you are looking for last names that start with that letter.

If you click on a letter in the blue alphabet across the top, it will display all the people whose Last Names start with that letter.

If you type a single letter in the Find box, it will also show all the people that have Last names that start with that letter.

Search Behaviour : Hunt everywhere!

Two or more letters searches across all fields (phone, department, office, etc.) so it might seem odd; you can specifically focus the search by hitting the field you want.

If a second letter (or more) is typed in the Find box, it will start searching across ALL the possible areas, and display all the people where ANY PART of your search text matches. When there is a match, the number of matches in that area are displayed on the menu. If you type in 'ar', for example, you will see any person where 'ar' is included in any part of their name, all the people in the Art department, and anyone who has an email address with ar (Marywood). If you wanted to restrict the search to just Department, click on Department at this time.

If you see a person on the list, clicking on their name will focus just on them.

Department List: Find everyone in a particular department

You can also find anyone in a department by choosing a Department Name off of the Department drop-down list. If you start typing in the Find field, it will revert to normal behaviour.

This directory is accurate to the second. The information you see here is absolutely current. There is no longer any delay when a change is made in Human Resources. The Department list is also updated immediately if there is a new department name or change.

If you see an error in a field, please contact Human Resources to have it changed.

If you encounter a problem using the directory, or have a suggestion for improving it, please contact the Web Development office.
