SmartRide SmartRide is a transportation service that runs daily between The University of Scranton and Marywood University. It's FREE!! SmartRide Schedule Weekday Schedule - Mon. - Fri. 8am-10 pm Weekend Schedule - Sat./Sun. 12-6pm Leaves UofS 5 minutes after the hour/Marywood 35 minutes after the hour No service Labor Day, Mon, Sept 5th Thanksgiving Schedule: No service Wed, Nov 23 to Sun, Nov 27, resume service on Mon, Nov 28 - regular schedule Last day of service for semester: Fri, Dec 16: 8 AM - 5:00 PM January 2 to 15, short schedule 9 am to 5 pm weekdays, 12 to 5 pm weekends. Resume regular schedule on January 16 Easter Schedule: No service from Wednesday, April 12 to Monday, April 17. Resumes regular schedule Tuesday, April 18. SMARTRIDE will remain on regular schedule during spring break weeks. There is no Smartride service during the summer months. While the driver may stop at anytime to discharge passengers, he/she will only pick up passengers at the designted stops. To make sure you are left at the correct stop, please inform the driver of your destination upon entering the vehicle. In case of inclement weather schedule may change without prior notice. Smart Ride will attempt to remain in service one hour following the cancellation of classes on both campuses. Smartride Route Weekdays 8am to 6pm: Leaves the University of Scranton 5 minutes after the hour from the Tuning Circle on Linden Street. The bus proceeds towards the Mall at Steamtown by going down Lackawanna Avenue and tuning right onto Wyoming Avenue. Passengers are dropped off at the Mall at Steamtown . Proceeding down Wyoming Avenue to Olive Street where the bus stops. After this stop the bus proceeds down Wyoming Avenue to Green Ridge Street. The bus turns left onto Green Ridge Street proceeding to stop at the CVS store at Green Ridge and Ross Avenue. Continuing up Green Ridge Street to Main Avenue. The bus turns right onto Main Avenue, travels up and turns left onto Oak Street. It is here where the bus will stop for North Scranton Head Start. The bus proceeds up Oak Street and will turn right onto Wayne Avenue to West Market Street to the red light for Cole Muffler, which will be the stop for Howard Gardner School . The bus will turn right onto West Market Street and go over the East Market Street Bridge to continue on for Marywood University. The bus will continue up East Market Street to the end and turn left onto Boulevard Avenue. The bus will then turn right onto Woodlawn Street and travel to the intersection of Woodlawn and Washington Avenue. The bus will turn left onto Washington Avenue and turn right onto University Drive to the stop sign. The bus will turn right onto Adams Avenue and proceed to the main entrance at the Arch . The bus will park in front of the Liberal Arts Center . The bus leaves Marywood at 35 minutes after the hour following Adams Avenue. Stops at Marywood include the Arch and Nazareth Center . The route returns to the Howard Gardner School using Woodlawn St to Boulevard Ave to East Market Street and continue over the bridge. The bus travels up West Market Street to Wayne Avenue and turn left onto Wayne Ave. Pick up for Howard Gardner School . Continues down Wayne Ave to Oak Street. Turns left at the light and follows Oak Street to N. Main Ave. This is the pick up for the North Scranton Head Start . The bus turns right onto N. Main Ave and proceeds to Green Ridge Street. The bus turns left onto Green Ridge Street and stops at the CVS store. The route continues up Green Ridge Street to Wyoming Avenue and the bus turn right. The bus travels down Wyoming Ave to Olive Street to make a stop. The route continues down Wyoming Ave to the Mall at Steamtown , the bus proceeds up Lackawanna Ave to Adams Ave and turns left. The bus travels down Adams Ave to Linden Street and turn right onto Linden St. The route finishes up at the Turning Circle to stops in front of St. Thomas Hall. Weekdays from 6pm to 10pm Only : Leaves the University of Scranton from the Turning Circle on Linden St in front of St. Thomas Hall with stops at the Royal Way (Mulberry at Quincy, the corner of Clay Ave and Vine St., corner of Vine St. and Quincy Ave., Corner of Madison Ave. and Mulberry St., Linden St. (between Madison and Jefferson), Wyoming Ave. (at the Mall at Steamtown ) and the corner of Wyoming Ave. and Olive St. Then proceeds down to Wyoming Ave. to N. Washington Ave. to Marywood University. It leaves Marywood stopping at Nazareth Student Center parking lot , the Library , and the Arch on Adams Ave. It continues onto N. Washington Ave. to Green Ridge St. to Wyoming Ave., stopping at the Corner of Wyoming Ave. and Olive St. and at Wyoming Ave. at the Mall at Steamtown and travels back to the University of Scranton. Weekends : It follows Weekday evening route with a stop each way at the Price Chopper on Monroe Avenue. All riders must show University of Scranton Royal Card or Marywood identification.
