for undergraduate and graduate students with financial
need, allowing them to earn money to help pay education
expenses.
- Q. How much will I make?
A. You earn at least the federal minimum wage,
but the amount might be higher depending on the type of

study students earned $6.75 per hour. Your total Federal
Work Study award depends on when you apply, your level of
need, and the funding level of your school.
- Q. How will I be paid?
A. You will be paid by the hour once per month.
You will be responsible for keeping track of your hours,
completing a timesheet, and handing in the signed
timesheet to your supervisor before the deadline
designated by the Payroll Office. You will be paid
directly by check, unless you fill out a form to have
your check directly deposited into your bank
account.
- Q. When and where can I pick up my check?
A. The payroll office will give you a list of

in the Liberal Arts Center.
- Q. Where will I work? Can I choose my
assignment?
A. All students who are eligible for Work-Study
must report to the Office of Human Resources during the
first week of class to sign their Work Study Contracts,
finish any necessary paperwork, and choose their work
study assignments. A list of open positions will be
available in the Office of Human Resources. You will be
able to choose your work assignment, provided there are
openings in that department. The earlier you sign your
contract, the better chance you will have of picking an
assignment that you want.
- Q. How do I know if I'm eligible?
A. Check your financial aid award that was
mailed to you from the Financial Aid Office. If it lists
work study as aid, then you are eligible and should
report to Human Resources to sign-up.

consider your class schedule and availability.

to bring two forms of ID such as a drivers license,
passport, birth certificate or Marywood ID. If you
provide a Marywood ID, you must provide a document other
than a Driver's License. All documents must be originals.
Once all the paperwork is complete and, you have been
assigned a position, you can report to your supervisor to
